You can play with this basic recipe, adding turmeric powder, cheese or other spices, herbs or seeds on top.
Delicious with guacamole, cheese, or whatever you desire...
Ingredients:
1 large egg
1 Cup almond flour
3 Tbsp. roasted Sesame seeds
1,5 Tbsp. Flax seeds (can be replaced by chia)
¼ tsp. Salt
¼ tsp. Baking soda
10 grinds of black pepper
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 170 degrees
- Mix the dry ingredients well before adding the egg
- Add the egg and kneed till you get a good dough. Set aside for a couple of minutes for the seeds to absorb the liquids. If too dry, you can add a spoon or two of water.
- Put between two baking paper sheets and roll out with a rolling pin or use your hands to flatten as thin as you can get
- Remove the top sheet and use a sharp knife or a pizza cutter to cut the flat dough to the cracker size you desire.
- Place in the oven for about 10 minutes (better a bit lower temperature and longer baking time than high temperature and fast. It allows them to get nice and crunchy without burning)
- Take out of the oven and let cool completely before stored in an air tight container
