Ingredients:
240 gr. flax seeds
30 gr. psyllium
2 tsp. baking powder
Salt to taste
320 ml. lukewarm water
Method:
- Preheat the oven to about 190 degrees
- Grind the flaxseeds to a fine flour
- Add the rest of the dry ingredients to the flour and mix well.
- Slowly add the water until you get a uniform dough that is easy to work with.
- With wet hands, divide the dough and make buns. (Don’t be tempted to make large buns:) These buns are very satisfying and if they are “regular” size, it’s just too much! From my experience, divide into 6-8 pieces)
- Cut slits in the buns to reduce air bubbles. Brush with water or egg and sprinkle with a seed mixture according to your taste.
- Bake the buns for about 50 minutes and let them cool completely
